Welcome to Suneeta Carbons - Your Trusted Activated Carbon Manufacturers for Water Treatment
What is Activated Carbon?
Activated carbon is a granular material produced by using coconut shells after roasting charcoal at 800 to 1000°C to “activate” it. After roasting it at such a high temperature, Impurities are removed by acid washing.
Activated Carbon for Water Treatment
Our activated carbon for water treatment constitutes a greater part of our brand image (both within India and our export countries) where we offer high-end processed activated carbon for water treatment for various domains of the water industry i.e. extending from industrial or commercial wastewater and odor mitigation issues to municipal water treatment.

Our activated carbon for wastewater treatment and other water treatment solutions targets two broad categories-
Elimination of chlorine- the methodology for dechlorinating happens very fast where flow rates are typically high. However, our expert knows that it requires an extensive amount of surface area, and organics in the water will ultimately fill up and block the pores of the carbon. Finally, the activated carbon filters are removed by our experts as they need to be replaced due to their deteriorating capacity to dechlorinate the water.
Elimination of organic matter- Our experts conduct this methodology with a holistic approach where the contaminated water is passed through our robust activated carbon filter due to which the organic chemicals and particles get trapped which is known as “adsorption”. This adsorption methodology depends on five essential factors- (a) the physical properties of the granulated activated carbon for water treatment (b) the chemical structure of the carbon source (c) the chemical structure and concentration of the contaminant (d) the water temperature and alkalinity and lastly (e) span of time the water is exposed to the activated carbon filter.
